The Luedtke Engineering Company is recognized as a successful family owned business headquartered in Frankfort, Michigan, approximately one hour west of Traverse City. Luedtke is controlled and managed by brothers Kurt and Paul Luedtke, grandsons of the founder, Duke Luedtke.

Headed by Kurt Luedtke as President, the current upper management team has been together since 1988.

KURT R. LUEDTKE – President

Kurt graduated with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University in 1980. After three years of Field Engineer experience on dredging projects for Canonie Pacific, he joined Luedtke Engineering Company in 1983. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Michigan. Kurt has been the President since 1996.

PAUL L. LUEDTKE – Secretary/Treasurer

Paul graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Michigan Technological University in 1982. After two years as a Construction Manager and Contract Administrator with Giffels Associates, he joined Luedtke Engineering Company in 1986. Paul has been the chief financial officer since 1994.

VANESSA D. MILLS – Accounting Manager

Vanessa graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Ferris State University. She joined Luedtke Engineering Company in 1988.

THOMAS N. ZATKOVIC – Project Manager/General Superintendent/Fleet Captain

Tom graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 1972. He has been active in the Company since 1967, becoming General Superintendent in January 1976. He is a licensed U.S. Coast Guard Tug Captain (Master of Towing) and is the designated examiner for Luedtke Engineering Company. He has training in HYPACK and MicroStation as well as:

Tim joined Luedtke Engineering Company in 1976. He graduated with an Associate degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 1979. Since that time he has worked on various projects as a project manager, superintendent, safety director & quality control manager. He has training in HYPACK and MicroStation as well as:
