Description: The subject vessel is a diesel powered, single screw 700 HP, model bow hawser tugboat of all welded steel construction with fixed raised pilot house and single level welded steel deck house.

Generators: (1) 40 KW Star Electric Motor Company AC generator powered by 6 cylinder Buda Diesel. (1) 40 KW Star and 30 KW lima DC generators commonly powered by a Detroit Diesel 4-71.
Pilot House Electronics: Dual VHF radio, dual radar, loran, hydraulic steering system with (2) remote steering stations and pilot house engine controls.

General Construction The vessel is constructed of 3/8" shell plating, vertically framed with 10" webb and 3" flange “T” frames on 6' centers with intermediate vertical frames of 4" x 3" x 5/16" steel angles on 18" centers. The vessel is divided into (4) transverse bulkheads to form (5) watertight compartments, not including the fuel oil tanks. Vessel is equipped with aft steering station with full engine controls, well outfitted with deck fittings and fire fighting and life saving equipment. Vessel can transit the Illinois and Mississippi River system to Gulf with minimal temporary removal and reinstallation of light masts and stack bridge vertical clearance at Lemont Illinois.
