Description: The subject vessel is a spud barge with a raked bow and square stern and originally built of riveted steel construction, however, subsequent repairs and plate renewal have resulted in various sections of welded steel construction including structural replacement under the crane, bow knuckles, bow corners, bow plating, and approximately 75 % of the deck plating. The barge is fitted with two 24 inch diameter spud wells one along the port side forward and one on the starboard side aft.

General Construction: The hull is divided into a total of seven watertight compartments including a bow and stern rake compartment, a No. 1 mid body compartment, a No. 2 port and starboard mid-body compartment and a No. 3 port and starboard mid body compartment. The subject vessel is constructed of 1/4" to 3/8" side, top and bottom plate more or less. Transverse frames are 6" channels on 24 inch centers with 12" H-beam framing under the crane pad. The deck is fitted with wood matting over its forward end and a built up steel crane pad on the stern end. The spuds are 24 inch diameter by 50 foot long.
