Description:
The subject vessel is a spud barge with a raked bow and a deep raked stern and was originally constructed of wood and steel. A complete rebuilt of all welded steel construction including structural and shell replacement was performed in 1959. The barge has been fitted with two 26 inch square spud wells aft and one trailing spud well forward.

General Construction:
The hull is divided into four transverse and one longitudinal bulkheads forming a total of nine watertight void compartments. Transverse frames are on 24 inch centers with 6" channel deck and bottom chords and 6" x 4" ½" side shell frames. Longitudinal Trusses, two per compartment, with 10" channels, run the length of the vessel. The deck, sides, and bottom is constructed of 3/8" plate. The spuds are 25" X 25" X 40 feet long.
